Promptly after moving to New York and having my first Marilyn moment atop a subway grate (except a million times less chic), I decided to start building up my mid-lenth skirt collection. Those minis just catch the city breeze way too easily! Found this gem at the BCBGMAXAZRIA sale last weekend, and couldn’t resist its multicolored quirkiness. I like my clothes with some quirk.

Headed to Boston for the weekend and I’m super excited to explore a new city. Welcoming any/all recommendations for places to see, shop, eat and drink!

Love your look and your glasses are amazing!!! I like Marilyn moments only when I am wearing shorts under my mini skirt, which I usually do. Better safe than sorry :)

Love the colors and this outfit and the midlength skirt is awesome! You look great in it. =) My only problem with midlength skirts is that I dont like to wear them much just because of my short stature so I would not look as good in them.

Enjoy Boston, it’s gorgeous – as a tourist I think it was my favourite city when I last visited. Am stuck in a very grey London this weekend :( Lovely skirt too – very Prada-ish! xx

Eat at Bailey and Sage(best salads of our lives), Saus(Waffles with salted caramel=heaven), Giacomos (inexpensive bottles of wine and some real good italian in this tiny little place) Mike’s Pastry (the florentine cannoli is life changingly delicious)
Shop at dress on Newbury and The Garment District in cambridge (across the river) seems right up your alley)

Laura, I can’t believe this shift didn’t already happen when you were living in SF! The ever present wind in this city has forced me into longer lengths. ;)

Love the mix of prints, and the skirt is adorable!

I totally know how you feel! I always wear spandex under my miniskirts in the city, it’s the only way to avoid the embarrassment of unwelcome air gusts :) love the colors here

    Laura Reply:

Thanks!! I have started doing that too! Totally necessary. :)
