Here is a little photo diary from my first walk over the Brooklyn Bridge and the fun evening that followed, shot by my very talented friend, Dan Bilsborough. And there are more on his site — check ’em out!

I think my absolute favorite thing about this city is you truly never know what tomorrow will bring. Whether it’s staying up to watch the sunrise on a random Tuesday, or exploring the outer boroughs with new friends you met the night before…life here is filled with surprises. With every new day comes the possibility of new adventures.

While at times it can be daunting, there’s something to be said about embracing this lack of predictability and living life one day at a time. I think this summer I’ve been pushing myself to do just that, and I must say it’s been the best one yet.

*head to toe: H&M sunhat, vintage tee (turned laced-up masterpiece by the amazing Willis Brown), Coach bucket bag, vintage Levi’s cutoffs, Jeffrey Campbell sandals
