Never considered myself to be much of a plaid flannel kinda gal, but I am really loving this one from Paige Denim. Cozy, fits just right, and perfect for fall layering! I have been cursing summer’s end, but this time of year is def a fun one for fashion…

This week I am on a mission to do a bit of a closet refresh – purge out some pieces I don’t wear anymore and organize my cold weather clothing. This is how I cope with the impending winter months. Apparently we’ve got a frigid one headed our way, eek!!

If you have ever read my blog, you know I am no stranger to a bad hair day. My brush and I meet quite infrequently, and this is something I have completely come to terms with. Fortunately, I live with a very talented milliner, Gigi Burris, who makes the sickest hats, like, ever. No better cure for bed head than a gorgeous accessory to cover it all up.

I was just introduced to awesome online retailer Roztayger, which sells super chic bags for work, travel and life! Have already gotten tons of use out of this one by Lost Property — the perfect caryall for the city and was an ideal airport companion on my recent trip to Vermont. Check ’em out — some really cool up and coming brands I know y’all will love just as much as I do.

There’s something about a long, flowy maxi skirt that just makes me wanna spin right ’round (baby, right ’round), and this one is no exception. A great piece to dress down for a day out or jazz up for a night on the town.

Summer may be gone, but that doesn’t mean that bright, floral patterns have to leave with it. I can’t wait to start pairing lights and whites (eff that post-Labor Day “rule”) with chunky knits and LEATHER JACKETS! OHh how I love me some leather layers.

Easy Breezy

Easy breezy outfit…sometimes you just gotta throw on a simple white button-down (this one from InStyle Essentials), cutoffs, and a baseball cap. But basic doesn’t have to be boring! Added some color with my minty green PLV pumps and trusty Phillip Lim satchel.

Balancing NYFW and an overly demanding job hasn’t been easy, so it’s nice to be able to dress down a bit. Super excited to be heading to Vermont for a week of R & R with my family in a few days…cannot think of anything I’d like to do more right now than drink wine, play around in nature, and take lots of pretty pictures! Mellow out with the people I love the most. <3

This teal color is my all time fave. And you know I’m game for a loose-fit baby doll dress! Easy breezy is my summer steez (anything I don’t have to wear a bra with).

A little rainbow bright maxi madness going on here. I really like this piece from Goddis…it is basically a loose-fit sweater for your entire body. And def a good transitional piece that I will be able to wear well into fall (with my go to black leather jacket that I love like a mother loves their child).

NYFW kicks off today, and while I haven’t had a chance to join in on many of the festivities just yet (this chick’s got a day job  y’all!), I am excited to check out some shows and get my party on over the next week. Hit me up on Instagram and Twitter to follow the fun! x

The Morning After

Leather jacket, striped bodysuit, cutoff shorts, strappy sandals

Leather jacket + bodysuit + denim cutoffs = three of my favorite things, all in one. Wore this out for drinks the other night. A couple of drinks turned into multiple celebratory tequila shots (I got a new job!), which resulted in me crashing on my friends couch / waking up in the same outfit. Too late to run home and change, I scurried across town to meet Lydia for our photo date! Whoopsie.

So here you have it — my morning after ensemble. Forgive the slept in look, this time my bed head was unintentional.
